After being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year, against her own doubts, Parton is releasing her first rock 'n' roll album titled Rockstar. The album features a mix of classic rock covers and original songs, showcasing Parton's versatility as an artist. Collaborations with renowned artists such as Sting, Peter Frampton, Debbie Harry, and Pat Benatar add a unique touch to the album. Parton even attempted to reunite the Beatles by involving Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in the recording process. While Rockstar may be Parton's first and last rock album, she has expressed interest in exploring other genres, including R&B and blues. In the meantime, she is busy working on a Broadway musical based on her life story. Despite the assumption that her politically charged lyrics in the album's lead single, World on Fire, reflect her personal beliefs, Parton clarifies that her intention is to raise awareness about global issues rather than engage in politics. With her unwavering passion for music and endless possibilities, Parton continues to captivate audiences with her talent and creativity.
