Flood, fire victims get CSWDO aid


The Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) is providing assistance to the victims of floods and fires in the city. According to CSWDO Head Julie Dayaday, there are approximately 19,099 families with dependents, totaling 43,272 individuals affected by the disasters. The office has distributed welfare goods, including basic necessities, hygiene kits, and blankets. They have also deployed a mobile kitchen to provide hot meals to those affected. The most impacted areas include Talomo A, Talomo B, Bago Gallera, Bago Aplaya, Tugbok, Bago Oshiro, and Sto. Niño. Cash assistance for flood-affected individuals is being processed and will be distributed soon. In addition to flood victims, the CSWDO has also provided aid to those affected by a fire in Barangay Monteverde. The office is currently assisting approximately 170 evacuees housed in two gymnasiums. The mobile kitchen continues to provide daily meals, and the office, along with its partners, is committed to helping those affected.
